David Adjaye: Mole House is the first instalment of amag’s new Long Books collection. The Mole House book documents the formal contexts and reveals the new paradigms in architecture. The derelict property in the London borough of Hackney, made infamous by a landlord who incessantly tunnelled underneath it without a permit, was completely renovated by the architect as a three-storey live/work space that also serves as a single-family dwelling for artist Sue Webster.
