For an exhibition of prize-winning architectural projects, Adjaye employed two versions of a freestanding unit whose depth allowed for the inclusion of small vitrines and light boxes. Standing just inside the gallery, the taller one masked the back wall of the space, the aluminium cladding reflecting the ambient light. In a parallel position, the lower unit provided a plinth for displaying models. By changing the pattern of movement, they transformed the formality of the existing space.
